My family and I were fortunate this year to be able to attend the Highlights For Children 20th Annual Illustrator's Party. We traveled to Honesdale, PA for a weekend filled with wonderful food, fun, and fellowship. I had a chance to meet Cindy Smith, my Art Director at Highlights as well as the rest of the staffs of Highlights, Boyd's Mills, and the other Highlights imprints. These are people that care deeply about children's publishing and fostering that passion in the writers and artists that contribute to their publications.

A Real Highlight

One Odd Day
ONE ODD DAY by Dani Sneed and Doris Fisher is the title of the hilarious picture book I am working on. A young boy awakens to find that everything about his world has become "odd", from a shirt with three sleeves to a dog with five legs. Things get more and more "odd" as his day progresses. Oddly enough, I have heard that Dani and Doris are hard at work on an "even" more amusing book. ONE ODD DAY, published by Sylvan Dell Publishing will be available October 2006.
